The Jet Airways flight 9W 2374 was carrying 154 passengers and 7 crew members onboard when it aborted take off and skidded on the runway at Dabolim airport. All the passengers were evacuated safely but 15 passengers suffered "minor" injuries.
A technical glitch while aligning for takeoff caused the incident, Jet Airways said. The airport has been closed till 12.30PM local time.
In a separate incident, at Delhi's IGI airport, an IndiGo flight, which had arrived from Lucknow came face-to-face with a SpiceJet plane prepping for a take off at the runway.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India's safety regulator, says an investigation is underway to find out what went wrong, but according to the report, a miscommunication with the Air Traffic Control tower is to be blamed.
