Rumors and Hostess in Heatleaks have been flying around about what Apple plans to show at WWDC 2023 next week. While there's sure to be a ton of focus on things like Apple's long-rumored mixed-reality headset, let's take a moment to talk about MacBook. It'd be a shame to forget about it.
Specifically, it sounds like we're going to hear about the follow-up to last year's outstanding M2 MacBook Air. Will we get a swanky new display, or even a new M3 processor? How about more ports or an improved keyboard? I'll give you a hint: Don't get your hopes up toohigh.

For starters, it seems like the main upgrade for this edition of MacBook Air will be the display size. Display analyst Ross Young shared in a paywalled tweet in December that Apple was working on a 15.5-inch MacBook Air, and the consensus now is that we will see it at WWDC. Last year's model came in at 13.6-inches, and the new one would be the biggest MacBook Air to this point.

Apple prognosticator Ming-Chi Kuo said back in April that the new MacBook Air will stillrun on the M2 processor, so anyone waiting with bated breath for the M3 will be sorely disappointed. There may be two models with slightly different M2 processors, but at the end of the day, this is still an M2 device.
Unfortunately, we don't know much else about the new MacBook Air. There are some assumptions we can make, like the battery being bigger because that's usually what happens when devices get bigger. But aside from a better display, we can't definitively say what else the new MacBook Air will bring to the table just yet.
Thankfully, all will be revealed soon.
