And you're free to install it anywhere. The battery lasts about a month if your front door is a busy place, according to Google. With the free Google Home app, you'll be able to keep an eye on your front porch through your smart device. Google integrated smarter detection into the video doorbell which can differentiate between a person, animal, and car, reducing the likelihood you'll get alerted about leaves blowing by.
The doorbell also has two-way audio, so you can listen and reply to visitors and delivery people. You can also choose automated replies from a list of options.
