Those ugly white borders on Watch The Big Bust Theory (2013) onlineSnapchat Stories may soon be a thing of the past.
A recent update made a small but significant change to how photos uploaded to Stories from Snapchat's Memories will appear: they'll no longer have that hideous white border.
SEE ALSO: Devastated Snapchatters talk about the heartbreak of losing a Snapstreak after hundreds of daysA quick refresher: Snapchat has allowed users to share saved snaps and photos from their Camera Roll to their Story since it first introduced Memories in 2015. But all photos that were uploaded to Stories after the fact included a big white border alerting people that they were shared from Memories or Camera Roll, rather than the main Snapchat camera.
That's now changing. Now, photos from Memories that were originally taken within Snapchat won't have a white border when you add them to your story. The ugly white space isn't going away entirely, though. Camera Roll photos imported to Snapchat will continue to appear with the white border.

It sounds like a subtle change, but it's significant. Brands, businesses, and other influencers on the platform often go to great lengths to avoid the look. Now, thanks to the change, that will be a bit easier.
As Taylor Lorenz, who first noticed the change, correctly points out, it's also a pretty clear message from Snap: Take all your photos in our camera. That's important not just for Stories but because it keeps people in Snapchat longer.
