LOS ANGELES -- ABC rolled out new shows on eroticism and japaneseits app this week, including offerings from from YouTuber Lisa Schwartz and relationship guru Matthew Hussey.
The launch of the shows comes a little over a month after ABC revamped the app.
ABC is not the first to dabble in bite-sized content offerings for mobile-first audiences. Others, including Bravo, have upped their efforts to reach cord-cutters.
In addition to the new short series, ABC's app will have episodes of current on-air shows -- including Modern Familyand Quantico -- and full seasons of 38 “throwback” shows, and a redesigned user interface exclusively for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV.
A bit more about the app's new shows, some which you can start streaming this week:
Watch British love expert Hussey analyze texts from guys with a group of girls.
"Texting is a topic that always comes up in my seminars," Hussey told Mashableof the series. "Text, or really any digital communication, can be really tricky. There’s a shorthand that can sometimes be confounding. In the show, we offer practical suggestions for women to get past that awkward moment and move the conversation forward. It’s also a bit of a mirror for men who might learn a thing or two by watching."
Schwartz's series is about an actress named Sarah (played by the YouTuber) who is trying to make it in Hollywood.
Tastemade, a digital production company founded in 2012 by Joe Perez and partners Steven Kydd and Larry Fitzgibbon, has evolved into the equivalent of Food Network for mobile-first viewers. It has a handful of cooking-related shows across several social networks and streaming services.
Now, one of its shows is headed to ABC's app.
The series follows chef Guy Turland as he "explores the foraging phenomenon, trekking through land and sea to pick the freshest local ingredients from the most interesting places."
This month's episode follows Muslim R&B songbird Yuna, as she shares how she "found her voice while balancing the Muslim traditions she holds sacred."
The series follows powerhouse lady entrepreneurs as they discuss what it takes to find success.
The entrepreneurs include Ali Webb, founder of DryBar; Wendi Levy and Kim Etheredge, co founders of Mixed Chicks; Chelsea Shukov and Jamie Grobecker, co-founders of Sugar Paper; and Shena Muzyka, founder of Zhena’s Gypsy Tea.
"Up and coming talk show host Quinn Marcus shares her own brand of awkward sarcasm." She interviews a handful of people including Ben Schwartz, Moby, Casey Wilson, Terry Crews and Adam Pally.
