SEE ALSO: The complicated 'League of Legends' brackets, explainedOver the past week, top teams from each region competed in single-elimination gauntlets for one last chance to qualify for Worlds. North America's Cloud9, Europe's Splyce, South Korea's Samsung, China's IMay and Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macao's Ahq Esports Club all won their regional gauntlets to qualify.
The remaining two Worlds spots went to Brazil's INTZ Esports and CIS/Russia's Albus NoX Luna, both of whom bested six other teams from around the world in a wildcard tournament.
They joined the nine teams who qualified by winning their summer seasons or by winning enough matches overall to qualify with points. The summer season winners include NA's Team SoloMid, Europe's G2 Esports, South Korea's ROX Tigers, China's Edward Gaming and TW/HK/MO's Flash Wolves.
Following those teams are the teams with the highest accumulated points from the spring and summer seasons in each region: NA's Counter Logic Gaming, Europe's H2K Gaming, South Korea's SK Telecom T1 and China's Royal Never Give Up.
