LONDON -- People blagging their way into VIP sections by saying they know someone isn't a new thing -- but Naked Poison IIthis really takes sneaky to a whole new level.
SEE ALSO: Dude sneaks NSFW sign into live TV broadcastLast Friday night, teenager Adam Boyd from Crewe, UK, went to see British band The Sherlocks. After arriving late, though, his view was obstructed.
"So last night I went to see a band, but we got in late and our view was shite," Boyd wrote on Facebook.
This was his creative solution:
Yep: he edited the band's Wikipedia page, adding in a line to say that he was the lead singer's cousin and that he influenced their first single.
"In my drunken state I edited the band's Wikipedia page to say I was family, and it worked!" Boyd wrote. "I got into the roped off VIP area because of it."
Obviously it's tricky to 100% prove that what Boyd says is true, but the Snap he posted on Facebook certainly does look like it was taken from a VIP area:
The edit history on the Wikipedia page checks out, too.
The page's revision history shows that it was indeed edited on Friday night at 20:28 to include Boyd's name:
You've got to hand it to Boyd: as far as creative blagging attempts go, this has to be one of the most innovative (and successful) we've seen in awhile.
