Forget the pretenders: The Chilli and BananaMet Gala is the red carpet of all red carpets. Well, technically, pink carpets.
The fundraiser, held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, continued its reputation of hosting the most out-there, challenging looks on Monday night, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Jared Leto, and Zendaya just a few of the many highlights from the event.
This year's Met Gala theme, Camp, was a perfect match for the event's history of the wild and unapologetically garish. It's based on a 1964 essay by Susan Sontag, who came to define Camp as a "love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration."
