Stranger Thingsstar Millie Bobby Brown is Obscene Wifegoing to be starring in and producing a new series of films based on the Enola Holmes Mysteriesnovels, Deadlinereported Tuesday.
Brown made a deal with Legendary Entertainment to be a major part of the feature film adaptations of Nancy Springer's novel series, which follows the detective adventures of Enola Holmes, the 14-year-old kid sister of the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.
SEE ALSO: We might not get another season of 'Stranger Things' until 2019 because next year's gonna suck tooEnola Holmes will be Brown's second major film role, the first being Legendary and Warner Bros.'s Godzillasequel, Godzilla: King of Monsterscoming in 2019.
The Enola Holmes Mysteriesseries consists of six novels published between 2006 and 2010, focusing on Enola working through several missing persons cases, including her own mother, while her brothers (of course) doubt her theories and skills. The first and fifth books of the series were both nominated for Edgar Awards.
Picturing Brown solving cases while simultaneously outsmarting her brothers sounds like the perfect direction for Brown's next steps in Hollywood. Her take-no-shit, badass attitude in the second season of Stranger Thingsmay be a little preview into what we can expect with this Elona Holmes Mysteriesmovie series.
