LONDON -- Remember those stupendously pun-filled Chewbacca cartoons that did the rounds a while back?Gina Wild - Jetzt wird es schmutzig 5 (2000)
Well London-based illustrator Joe Stone, the man behind the puns, has made a return.

"Mostly I just wanted to draw Admiral Ackbar because his face is great."
Stone shared the new series of nine images -- embedded below -- on his Instagram over the last few days.

"I'm particularly proud of LAN Solo because it just such a stupidly nerdy joke and I managed to hide an extra geek reference in the image," said Stone. "And also the droids one because after a fair bit of trial and error I managed to make it actually work in 3D if you wear old school red/blue glasses."
Stone has previously drawn similarly punny series based on Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. He told us he's planning to give Star Warsa break for awhile now, though.
"I'm a bit concerned with the law of diminishing returns with these since I've done quite a few now, so I'm not sure if I'll do any more Star Warsones anytime soon," he said.
"I have had a couple of ideas for applying the same idea to other films and characters though, so maybe I'll do that next year…"
