A lawsuit like this could delay some votes from being counted. Trump lawyers asked for the ballots in question not to be "co-mingled or interspersed" with other ballots, CNN said.

Trump has claimed that the election is "rigged" against him and has refused to say whether he will accept the results of the race.

A county spokesperson told CNN that the Nevada polling places in question allowed voters who were already in line at closing time to cast their votes.

The Trump lawsuit asked for relief in the case that "the election of presidential electors from the state of Nevada is contested.”

Clark County downplayed the move by the Trump campaign, claiming that it had only been asked to retain its early voting records — which it already does.

A Nevada judge denied the suit later Tuesday afternoon.
