Ficarra and Requa, the directors and executive producers of This Is Us, are in final talks to both helm and write, THRhollywood reports. But maybe don't hold your breath -- word is that Harley and Joker would come after the sequel to Suicide Squad, which is struggling mightily to land a director; whoever that is will have a helluva time hitting the film's 2019 target.

THR calls HarleyJoker a "criminal love story," which is like calling Man of Steel a superhero story.

Duh.

Unlike the standalone, out-of-continuity Joker origin story we reported last night, Jokarley supposedly will fall within the DCEU's established timeline. Which means another cameo for Battfleck, right?
