After suffering a massive head trauma,Wolverine XXX Parody GiGi, a great horned owl, was left fighting for her life.
But thanks to her rescuer, she lived to fly again -- and, being the polite owl she is, she made sure to express her gratitude with a tender gesture. The magic between an owl and a human can exist outside of Harry Potterafter all.

Over time, an incredibly bond was formed between GiGi and Douglas Pojeky, Wild at Heart president and lead rescuer. A bond so strong that after Pojeky's returned to the organization after a trip away, GiGi made her love known with a loving hug and sweet gestures.
"Doug was checking on his little patient, and this is what happened. She threw both wings around him and gave him an owl hug," Wild at Heart Rescue wrote on their Facebook page.
According to The Dodo, GiGi transformed incredibly under Pojeky's eye.
"There are truly no words to describe what happens here between Doug and these birds of prey," the organization commented on Facebook. "It's like they communicate."
"It literally brings tears to my eyes to watch him interact with these birds," Wild at Heart Rescue Founder and Director Missy Dubuisson told The Dodo. "They absolutely know him and trust him. It's the trust that you see in her face."
Don't worry, GiGi will be able to join her owl family soon.
"Once GiGi makes a full recovery, she'll be released back into the wild. But in the meantime, she has Pojeky to lean on," reported The Dodo.
