With the possibility of the first female U.S. president a closer reality than ever,movies with eroticism voters are tweeting #DedicateYourVoteToAWoman in full force.

On Twitter, people used the hashtag to dedicate their political voices to 19th century suffragists, grandmothers, teachers, civil rights leaders, mothers, wives, and so many others.

Voting rights, of course, are a constant theme in many of the #DedicateYourVoteToAWoman tweets. Many have dedicated their votes to the figures who symbolize how far women's voting rights have come -- from the grandmothers who lived in a time when they couldn't vote to the suffragists who fought for American women's right to vote.

Meanwhile, some devoted their votes to the struggles of American women who have faced and overcome the direst of life circumstances, from victims of sexual assault to immigrants who have struggled because of their citizenship status.

Of course, political views were reflected in many of the #DedicateYourVoteToAWoman tweets. Many voters used the hashtag to proclaim their support for the social issues most impacting women today, including reproductive rights, wage inequality and broader issues like health care.

This Election Day is a historic moment, one that many are eager to see through the eyes of women. Given the nation's history on women's voting rights, it's a day many don't take for granted. So women are celebrating in whatever way they can.
