A new survey from the dating site OurTime, which caters to singles that are 50 and older, has revealed that older people are just as interested in meeting people, having sex and finding love as anyone with a beating heart. They even sext!
While we may all have similar desires, regardless of age, the real bummer for older singles is that 51 percent of them said they weren’t satisfied with their sex lives. It could have something to do with the fact that 46 percent of them haven’t been on a date in more than five years. By contrast, a 2015 big survey done by SKYN® Condoms found that 71 percent of single millennials -- those 18 to 34 -- were satisfied with their sex life.

The upside to dating when older, however, is that 55 percent of people said they knew what they wanted in a relationship, and 61 percent they were better partners now than when they were younger.
Those surveyed definitely weren’t all tied to the traditional ideas of courtship. Many were fine with having “friends with benefits” (45 percent said they are open to it) and one-night stands (27 percent would), and nearly a third said they'd dated more than one person at a time.
Though they may not be quite as skilled at some of the more modern dating moves. Just 21 percent of them said they Netflixed and chilled and only 17 percent had ghosted someone.

Compare that to the almost 60 percent of adults 20 to 26 who’ve sent a sext, and it’s clear The Olds have a ways to go before they’re caught up.
Still, you'd better start bracing yourself for the day when one of your parents accidentally sends you a sext meant for their newest love interest.
