People have Japanese sex moviesfound the most colorful, glittery, tulle-filled way to troll Republican Senator Mike Enzi, and for good reason.
On April 25 the Republican addressed an audience of middle and high school students, and told them that they were free to be whoever or whatever they wanted-- as long as they didn't shove it in anyone's face. He provided an example, in case they didn't get what he was trying to say: “I know a guy who wears a tutu and goes to bars on Friday night and is always surprised that he gets in fights. Well, he kind of asks for it.”

Now, residents of Wyoming and people around the country are protesting Enzi by wearing tutus to bars, sporting events, and basically everywhere: and let us say, they're definitely brightening their surroundings.

A student even protest outside the lab in Enzi's name at the University of Wyoming.
Senator Michael B. Enzi: If I have to use your building for school, then I'm sure as hell going to wear a tutu in it. I guess I'm "asking for it". #LiveandLetTutu #normalizetutus #wyoming #uwyo #mikeenzi #laramie #tutu #wyomingequality
Everyone's making one thing clear: they're not asking for it.

Lumberjack-looking guys are no exception from the movement.
Hey @senatorenzi here is a message from four votes in Lander Wyoming, house district 54. We see your blatant disregard for minorities and your loudly expressed privilege and ignorance - we will raise you three tutu's and a "please show up to any town hall meeting, ever." 😘 #Wyoming #liveandlettutu #wyomei #landerwyoming
Many are accompanied by an impassioned call for change.
I reiterate. No one is ever asking for it. Ever. Not only were your words cruel, and your message discouraging and hurtful, to young LGBTQ youth but it was beyond unprofessional. I have heard the argument for the generational gap, and I can not accept that. We live in a time of change and movement, Wyoming is the "Equality" state. That being said, you sir as a voice for our state should also continue moving forward, and trying to better yourself. The only thing I'm asking for is to be treated as though I have a right to exist in the same space, and time as anyone else. #liveandlettutu #notaskingforit
They've even brought the Wyoming state animal, the bison, into it.

Enzi's remarks hit residents of Wyoming especially hard because the University of Wyoming was where gay student Matthew Shepard was brutally beaten to death in 1998, an incident that brought national attention to hate-motivated crimes. It eventually inspired the play The Laramie Projectamong other pieces of art.
