The cheap sandwich is offered at almost every polling station whenever Australians vote -- a compulsory act for every citizen, and thankfully, always held on the weekend.

In town to cover the election, ABC journalist Michael Rowland shared democracy sausages with the voting citizens of Washington, D.C., using the wafting smell of the "sausage sizzle" to entice the Americans to share their preferred president.
Because he was in D.C., which is blue as hell, everyone seemed to be voting for Hillary.
