Alicia Vikander has praised Frances McDormand's Oscar acceptance speech and Watch A Female Employee Who Gives Permission For Things From The Manager Onlinedescribed the ways in which Time's Up has impacted her own career.
Speaking to Mashablelive on Facebook on Monday, Vikander -- who is starring in the upcoming adaptation of Tomb Raider-- talked about the effect the campaign is having on people in the industry.

"Because so often I've been the only woman in the room."

Vikander didn't attend the Oscars this year, but she said she'd caught up with McDormand's speech that morning.
"I think the wonderful thing is she's talked about the involvement of us women and what those last few months, especially, have meant in our industry," she said.
And the campaign has clearly impacted her on a personal level as well as a professional one.
"The wonderful feeling of having made more female friends in the last few months than I've probably made in my entire career, has meant the world," she said.
