The show posted an official beard announcement on Instagram, and invited commenters to share their thoughts.
"No need to inquire how I spent my summer vacation," Trebek said during Monday's show. "Because so many people asked about it, I decided to regrow my mustache but as you can see, things got a little out of hand. These hairs kept attracting friends. Hopefully it won't be a distraction for our players."
