We love our pets unconditionally. But sometimes,Short film Archives they test that love. A lot.
For example, Redditor Ferenginar's dog decided to swallow a $0.25 bouncy ball. You know, one that you get from those toy dispensers in malls or right by the exit in grocery stores.
The problem was, the ball got stuck in the dog. And in the end, a bouncy ball that cost a quarter ended up costing almost $1,000 to get it surgically removed from the dog.
The best part? The dog clearly would do it again. Just look at her face.
$0.25 out of a machine. $947.36 out of a dog. Gotta love that smug "worth it" look. from funny
"We saw it happen," Ferenginar said in response to questions about how the ball ended up in the dog in the first place. My son was playing with the ball and the dog grabbed it as it was bouncing around."
Ferenginar also explained that they did wait to see if the dog would pass the ball naturally. However, after several days of not seeing the ball come out the other end, they took her to the vet.
"They did an [x-ray] and discovered it was too big to move past her stomach," Ferenginar shared in a comment.
It's pretty clear that the dog is doing great after her very expensive procedure. Let's hope this instance of testing her owner's love is enough to last her at least a couple months before she inevitably does it again.
