Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 has been a long time coming,Discuss Section but it launches later this month — and now we might know exactly what'll be under the hood when it does.
Trusted leaker Evan Blass of VentureBeat just revealed an exhaustive list of the upcoming flagship's specs, citing a "person briefed on the device’s final configuration" as the source.
The details come shortly after Blass shared what appear to be press images of the Note 8, showing off a device that's nearly identical to the renders that have flooded the rumor mill ahead of its launch. The leaked specs, like the images, mostly align with speculations we've heard, including those Blass surfaced back in June.
SEE ALSO: Galaxy S8 owners can now try Google Daydream's VR experienceSamsung's next Note looks a lot like this year's Galaxy S8, according to Blass, with a slightly larger screen and squared corners. The Note 8 will rock a 6.3-inch SuperAMOLED infinity display, with a 1440 x 2960 resolution in an extra-tall 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
The U.S. version of the device will depend on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip, while the rest of the world will find Samsung’s in-house Exynos 8895 chip inside. The S8's international configuration uses the Exynos chip and Samsung's Exynos Twitter account recently shared a promo image featuring a render that looks suspiciously close to the Note 8, so that's not exactly a surprise.
The Note 8 will also boast 6GB of RAM, an uptick from the S8's 4GB, and 64 GB of built-in storage with a slot for a microSD card for more space.

The dual 12-megapixel cameras on the phone's rear are optically stabilized with autofocus and 2X zoom capabilities, while the front display holds an eight-megapixel selfie unit.
The 3,300mAh fast-charging battery is smaller than the units found in the previous generation, the Note 7, which is unsurprising given the explosive history of that device. The new Note 8 will look to restore the line's good name, an effort started with the smooth launch and enthusiastic reception of the S8 earlier this year.
Remember, these specs aren't exactly confirmed — but barring the leak of official Samsung press materials, they're likely the closest we'll get to the real thing before the company's Unpacked event on Aug. 23.
