A&E has became the latest network to partner up with Snap Inc. to produce original content for Snapchat.
Second Chance is the first unscripted show produced by a network for Snapchat that is eroticism in various culturesnotbased on an existing television brand or franchise. It's set to premiere on the platform in April.
The show "brings emotional exes face to face to explore the breaking point in their relationship for the first time. In this sincere setting, couples seeking closure will also discover heartfelt opportunities for reconciliation," A&E and Snap Inc. said in a news release.

It is produced by 45 & Dean, a full-service agency supporting brands, shows, advertising and distribution partners. This is the company's first show.
“When we launched a year ago, our vision was innovation in storytelling across all platforms, and rich, meaningful partnerships,” Paul Greenberg, Executive Vice President & General Manager of 45th & Dean, said in a statement.
“Snapchat is a powerful brand, one which knows how to reach new audiences by pushing the limits and expanding the boundaries of creativity. We’re extremely excited to bring A+E Networks’ strong brand portfolio to the Snapchat platform like never before as we roll out Second Chance and several other series already in development.”
Snap Inc. has been upping its library of content for several months now. Last year, the company struck a multi-year deal with NBCUniversal to develop and sell advertising packages, incorporating Snapchat’s expanded set of advertising products into its sponsorship, mobile and video offerings. The first short-form series to launch on the platform was The Voice on Snapchat.
Snap Inc. and Disney ABC Television Group also partnered up to create original episodic shows for Snapchat Discover. Their programming deal kicked off with Watch Party: The Bachelor,a complement to ABC's popular franchise. Several additional shows from ABC Television Group will roll out on Snapchat in the coming months, as the platform continues to grow its original, scripted and unscripted shows on its Discover platform.
“A+E’s investment in mobile storytelling is exactly what Snapchat Shows are all about: The ability to create premium and wholly original content for a mobile-first audience from some of the best storytellers in the world,” Nick Bell, Vice President of Content at Snap Inc., said in a statement.
“We are excited to break new ground with A+E Networks on our first unscripted series, with a concept that we think is raw and relatable,” Bell said.
