Only slightly less famous than Rule 34 is Terms of servicethe rule that, if something exists, there is a Funko Pop of it. Funko is known to apply its vinyl touch to whatever it can reach, Popifying everything from The Officeto Stranger Thingsto Baby Yoda.
However, in this latest case, the omnipresent purveyor of button-eyed figurines is using its powers of assimilation for good.
Funko has announced a limited edition Australian firefighter Pop figure, complete with a vinyl koala latched onto their leg. Retailing for $19.99 Australian dollars, all proceeds from the "Bushfire Heroes" figure will go toward the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals' National Bushfire Appeal.
"The RSPCA are working alongside government and emergency agencies, veterinarians and local authorities to provide much needed equipment and supplies, emergency care and identifying and assessing injured animals in need of assistance," Funko's Jesse Little wrote in the announcement.
SEE ALSO: How to help Australia's unpaid firefighters battle the bushfire crisisThe figurine is a collaboration with Australian collectable store PopCultcha and is only available on their website, though they do ship worldwide. Pre-orders are open now, with delivery expected in June.
Though if you want to help Australia's wildlife but don't fancy a tiny firefighter staring sadly at you from your bookshelf, you can also donate directly to the RSPCA on their website. They certainly need the help. Experts estimate over one billion animals have been killed in Australia's unprecedented bushfires, with more injured and facing starvation due to the destruction of their habitat.
"Once the active fire zones clear, that’s when our most challenging work begins," wrote the RSPCA. "Our work will continue for months after the fires have ceased."
