Scotland's gritters have risen to prominence thanks to a website that lets you track their movements, and people are loving their names.

According to the BBC, the names stem from a 2006 primary school competition, where children sent in their ideas for gritter names and the cream of the crop was selected.
At time of writing, the highest concentration of the named gritters is near Glasgow and Edinburgh.
And the prize for most northerly named gritter goes to Sprinkles, who is diligently serving the citizens of Nairn.
