People are giddens, a. the transformation of intimacy: sexuality, love, and eroticism in modern societiesstill sounding off over Mark Wahlberg's alleged high pay difference over co-star Michelle Williams for reshooting All the Money in the World —and the reports don't get better.
According to USA Today, Wahlberg asked for more money because he wasn't satisfied with the choice of Christopher Plummer as the replacement for Kevin Spacey.
Wahlberg had the right to approve co-stars in his contract, an anonymous source told the newspaper.
"What he said was, 'I will not approve Christopher Plummer unless you pay me.' And that's how he (expletive) them," the source told the news outlet.
Another anonymous source said Wahlberg's lawyers sent a letter to the film's financiers opposing Plummer's addition until payment was met. Plummer was brought in to replace Spacey following sexual misconduct allegations late last year.
While the film's director Ridley Scott claimed none of the actors were paid for the reshoot, reports stated Wahlberg was paid $1.5 million dollars for the work, with Williams paid $1,000. Both stars are represented by the same agency, William Morris Endeavor.
This comes as actors union SAG-AFTRA weighed into the pay debate. In a statement to ABC News, the union said they "are unambiguously in favor of pay equity between men and women in this industry and support every action to move in this direction.
"At the same time, performers at this level negotiate their above-scale rates through their agents. As it relates to this matter, you should talk to their representatives," the statement added.
